un: Tsurumaru
( Arms crossed and hands tucked into his sleeve, Tsurumaru smiles casually as he speaks. )
I'm looking for someone with experience repairing swords.
( Yes, it's important to get right to the point. No one has time for long winded introductions and explanations! But he supposes an explanation is still needed here so he sighs, running a hand through his hair, pushing back his bangs and scowling just a little, )
I visited a local smith and they were too rough. It felt more like a punishment than care… ( Really! It makes him shudder just thinking about it and he touches a thin scratch on his cheek, ) Eugh. My face still hurts…
( If the smith was going to handle his true form like that, they might as well have just slapped this human body across the face. )
It's a delicate blade and this is a… ( Hm, he doesn't want to have to explain everything right from the get go so he tries to find the right word, ) personal request.

video; un: marianne
why is he hurt though....... Marianne has to ask that first, look, she's a healer!! it's her duty]
Did you get into an accident at the blacksmith?
no subject
(Yeah, he's salty. Zero out of ten stars, would no recommend to anyone ever.)
But if you mean this, (the scratch,) It's from earlier.
no subject
Because of the monsters?
[tsurumaru you've been injured this entire time??? well, the fight has just recently stopped so Marianne shouldn't get on his case too much about it... OR SHOULD SHE!!!]
I can take care of that for you if you like. I can heal any other wounds you might have too.
no subject
There were quite a few of them.
(It definitely put some wear on his blade but ah... He really has to consider this. He doesn't think it will work but then again, the saniwa's magic was a very niche type. Would healing magic work? He isn't sure but...)
Well, it's worth a try.
(It can't hurt, at least.)

username: archer.
oh hey its the guy who wouldn't perish of boredom during that dream(?) thing(??) at the college(???). luckily he knows exactly the sword he's talking about, if not the nature of the damage he's talking about. ]
You'll be hard pressed to find a smith with the level of... finesse you're looking for here.
[ he's seen the swords they've got in kyst! he's seen the swords theyve got here in the court of stars. and to be quite fucking honest, they don't hold a candle to the sword he knows this guy's got. so. just his professional opinion, as a person who's a Fan of Swords, but. ur shit out of luck finding local help, my dude. too bad he can't help you........
unless? ]

Also what kind of name is actually Archer. But he sighs! It's loud and dramatic and definitely a little annoyed but he keeps a vague smile on his face. He won't let this get him down! But it's definitely not a good situation to realize he might be in,)
I suppose even back home, it would be difficult to find someone.
(He really took having a master that could take care of his every need for granted, huh.)
I suppose I'll have to take care of myself.
no subject
archer picks up on the particular idiosyncrasies in tsuru's speech, and the injury on top of the inquiry, and like. listen. listen. sometimes, you can do math, and the answer is actually kind of cool?
(oh, how to do this, without sounding too eager, but also not sounding too disinterested? oh, dilemma...) ]
What's the level of damage that needs repaired?
[ ... yeah, that sounds kind of innocuous, right? right?? hopefully. ]
no subject
(There's a pause. Is Archer asking because he's implying...?)
Just a few scratches. (Very minor.) It's nothing a good polish won't take care of but I thought I would try to find someone now before something more serious happens.
(Like a chip or a crack.)

Hm? Like a spear?
(That's what she means, right! He's very focused right now give him a sec to switch from literal sword talk to metaphorical poetry talk.)
no subject
I'm so sorry she's like this. She honestly can't tell if he's serious or not and just. Stares at the screen for a hot second. ]... Like a literal spear or... fleshy.
[ She's regretting this now. ]
no subject
A spear, of course. Though, I suppose in this case, it could also be human.
(Since he's trying to get repairs so he can heal himself properly but??? Not many people here know what he is and he doesn't recognize this name so ???)

I fear I only know how to sharpen stones with whetstones. Maybe the more skilled smiths may exist in the bigger cities.
no subject
( His blade is still sharp, though. )
Perhaps, but even in my world, only a very select few are allowed to handle my blade so I have some doubts about finding one worthy here.

( So finding a sage that can repair weapons might be most ideal. )
But I agree, there may be someone similar amongst us which is why I'm asking.
un: freddybear, i’m committed ig
Do you remember which smith it happened to be? A mark of a good smith is knowing how to handle weapons of all types and I’d prefer my own weapons were well taken care of.
Unfortunately I lack experience myself in the reparation of swords and other arms but if I come across someone with suitable skills I’ll be sure to pass their name along.
freddybear tho........
( And he doesn't mind saying who it is either!! This is what they get for trying to buff out his sword with what might as well have been sandpaper. He'll say exactly where he went so please pretend he gave the location right here. Of course, he isn't a jerk so he'll at least follow up with, )
Perhaps they're fine with more common weapons and tools... but for careful work, you'd be better without.
( HIS. FACE. STILL. HURTS. )
Do you usually care for your weapons so much, "Freddybear?"
look..............
He's not gonna risk it tho. ]
It's Frederick, if you please.
[ WHY CAN'T HE CHANGE HIS NAME ON THIS STUPID COMPASS!!!! He hates this. ]
But I do believe in taking good care of one's weapons.
Proper preparation and planning are key to success in any battle and we are fighting a war, are we not?
no subject
( Yes, these are good words, Freddybear. He gets +1 points in his favor with Tsurumaru. It seems promising, even, and Tsurumaru has an idea, )
Do you not know how to tend to your own weapons?

Well. Felix is the same way, because he's a Ye Olde and he's never used anything like this before. Everything about this is annoying.]
How close were you standing? Foolish.
[Since he had to be standing near the forge to acquire that kind of injury? Damn. But since this is clearly AMATEUR HOUR:]
Visit more than one blacksmith. View their wares before handing over your weapon. [A huff.] If you care for your "delicate" blade, you should know quality craftsmanship when you see it.
no subject
As close as they'd let me.
( Some smiths really like their personal space here! What a bunch of no fun losers. But of course, he isnt' reeling because he was standing close. )
If this was one of the best this world has to offer, then this world will be fine. ( They weren't bad. They just weren't what he was looking for. ) But even in my world, only a very select few were allowed to care for my blade. ( And to the camera, he holds up a very ornamental looking sword still in it's sheath. It's either very important or all looks and totally useless based on how it's decorated. ) What do you think?
( Does the mysterious sword expert have any advice? )
audio | un: samuel
also, dude, did you get beaten up by a blacksmith? that's his takeaway here. )
No dice, pal, sorry. But I'm spending a lot of time in the weapons districts, I can ask around for you.
no subject
( It's honestly surprising how generous the people are in this world... He wonders how many of them are really human. But no, he didn't get beaten up by the smith! At least, not directly. )
Could it be because you're looking for a weapon?
( Why else would someone really be hanging around that area unless they were also like him and trying to get repairs. )
no subject
( anything here that he could pick up he'd have to learn, train with. he's done some training, mostly with wooden muki at his dojang, but. he trusts nothing else as much as his own two hands and the beretta he's been carrying since afghanistan. )
Just kinda feeling my way around, you know?
