I'm looking for someone with experience repairing swords. 

( Yes, it's important to get right to the point. No one has time for long winded introductions and explanations! But he supposes an explanation is still needed here so he sighs, running a hand through his hair, pushing back his bangs and scowling just a little, )

I visited a local smith and they were too rough. It felt more like a punishment than care… ( Really! It makes him shudder just thinking about it and he touches a thin scratch on his cheek, ) Eugh. My face still hurts…

( If the smith was going to handle his true form like that, they might as well have just slapped this human body across the face. )

It's a delicate blade and this is a… ( Hm, he doesn't want to have to explain everything right from the get go so he tries to find the right word, ) personal request.

How familiar are you with spirits?

( Well, here we go!! Time to explain some things, )

Where I'm from, everything has a spirit called a kami. The sun, the wind, the trees, pathways, and even the things inside one's home. It's said when an object reaches one hundred years in age, it becomes aware and is granted a soul. These spirits become tsukumogami, the kami of a tool.... and that's what I am.

( Following along? And given all of his talk about his sword right now, it's probably easy to figure out what he is. )

[ Look she’s American what’s other cultures? Sorry she’s now thoroughly distracted by the fact she’s apparently talking to a sword which like… cool!?!?! She’s always been jealous of Leon’s ability to just… talk to things (especially cats) so this is just mind-blowing to her right now. ]

It formed from my spirit. I've always had it, but my master only made it physical. ( He's never really thought about it more than that, though, so he has to think a bit, ) Magic.

But trying to explain any of them? 99 percent of the time it just sounds like absolute bullshit (more like 25 percent of the time). Enough that she leaves that stuff to her roommate. She’ll deal with the fighting and keeping the apartment clean. ]

Before, I used to kill men and listen to prayers but I don't do that anymore. ( Because life is boring. ) Now I travel the country.

She really just isn’t sure what to think in general. It’s not like he can just… stop being himself. Could he? Did spirits of objects have a choice? Or are they always meant to fulfill their purposes? To find joy in doing so?
