USERNAME: parker
( peter is Uncomfortable doing this. he tried desperately to change his username and nothing in his nerd brain and encyclopedic knowledge of coding languages has offered any respite from part of his name being attached to whatever he wanted to say. which means he has to be careful about what he says...
though, he's gotta ask, because he's gotta know. )
so, uh, quick q
anybody feeling weird? not... quite themselves..... . . . . since they got here
( that's it. short and sweet. hopefully it's vague enough to not indicate anything but still leading enough to possibly result in getting the answers he's hoping for. )

It is. It's in the North, one of the seven kingdoms of Westeros but it's own kingdom.
[ She made sure of that. ]
Those that are used to a more temperate climate have a harder time living there. But it is beautiful in its own way.
Talking about it helps and doesn't help. Sometimes it makes me miss it more.

( he's trying really hard not to nerd out about alternate universes rn. REALLY. HARD. )
i'm from the east coast, it gets stupid cold where i live too. it's not so bad if that's all you've ever known
i know. but i'd rather remember than forget

[ Though she supposes it's not that different from the "Westerlands" or "Stormlands". ]
How often does it snow?
no subject
i live in nyc. or, new york city, which would probably mean more to you than an acronym. and, uh ... not sure exactly, but pretty frequently in winter. it gets too cold to snow a lot of the time, too

Where I come from, each kingdom has a few large ones, with smaller villages and outposts scattered throughout.

( new york needed him, blah blah... looking back, Peter had a bit of regrets, but maybe he'll get his "being somewhere different" out of his system through being here! it's almost like vacation, if you forget the whole war thing, and your world could be destroyed based on its outcome thing.......
ok nevermind it's not like a vacation )
you said you were from winterfell, right? is that the kingdom, or the larger city inside of it?
no subject
The Kingdom is the North. Winterfell is a castle, my home. Many people live in it and it holds many buildings. There aren't many large cities in the North but the ones that are, are closer to the sea. Ports, mostly. There are towns and villages closer to Winterfell.

sounds sort of like european infrastructure in the middle ages. from... my world, i mean. we don't really have many kingdoms anymore and we have more people concentrated in cities. we don't need as many people to farm so usually people are in a metro.
that ended up more of a social studies lesson than anybody asked for, sorry. but long story short, i lived in a metro, a big city. sorta like you, i guess.

No, I find it fascinating to hear about your world even if I don't understand all of it.
[ Because she won't lie: a lot of those words went over her head. ]
