that's ... insane. what happens, is there crime everywhere? or nowhere, because everyone can stop it when it happens?

we have heroes. they're government-sanctioned. and there's a prison, tartarus, for the villains who can't be reformed.

there's always gonna be people who use shit they can do for crime and evil. there's also always people willing to kick those people in the face.

really long story short, my experience isn't like that. abilities aren't common, but people using their various powers for crime and evil somehow still is

people keep saying it's weird to have so many people with superpowers, so whatever. i'm in a goddamn heroics department back home, though. i can't say people having weird powers is out of the usual for me at all.

i guess not. it's hard for me to even picture a world like that, in mine that barely even happens in comics

( usually it's just a couple superpowered people protecting all of humanity. that there's apparently a growing population here is a lot for Peter's poor brain to deal with. )

our world used to be like that. then a baby was born that glowed, in china, and quirks just became a thing.

it's always something, isn't it? radioactivity, or a meteor crashing to earth, or apparently a glowing baby

i mean, i don't know that the glowing baby caused it. he was just the first documented instance of a quirk.

theoretically there might have been other actual firsts, but just invisible quirks, you know? like people who can store power, or people who can see in the dark. shit you wouldn't notice, or might just think is a "talent".

but it was like a century or more ago, so who knows.

( no need to hide when so much of the population was superpowered, but when you were the 1% or smaller it was more complicated. )
